International brokerage Hub has acquired Quebec-based Felton et Associes Assurances Inc., its fifth Canadian deal of the year.

Hub says the acquisition will support its specialty practices by “complementing and strengthening its existing capabilities.”

Located in Brossard, Que., Felton et Associes is a P&C brokerage covering commercial and personal insurance. They specialize in construction, real estate, architecture and engineering.

The brokerage covers risks for distributors, retailers and wholesalers, general contractors, service providers, manufacturers, property owners, and the information and technology sector, according to the company’s website.

Brokerage president Maxime Felton and the staff at Felton et Associes will join the Hub Quebec team. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Hub previously closed a deal with London, Ont.-based Bradley Beer (2837932 Ontario Inc.) in July. Beer’s industry expertise is in real estate, hospitality and construction.

Earlier in 2024, Hub also concluded a deal for certain assets of Alberta-based Carianne O’Connor (2197747 Alberta Ltd.), which specializes in commercial and farm insurance, and personal home and auto insurance.

In February and March, Hub acquired Mitchell Sandham Inc. (and its subsidiary, Mitchell Sandham Group Benefits Inc.) and Zavitz Insurance and Wealth Inc., respectively. Both brokerages are based in Ontario.

Regarding its M&A activities, Hub says it is “committed to growing organically and through acquisitions to expand its geographic footprint and strengthen industry and product expertise.”
