Belron Canada announces acquisition of vehicle damage repair company Speedy Collision

Belron Canada has announced the acquisition of Speedy Collision, a network of 24 franchise collision centres located across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.

Like other retail businesses, the automotive aftermarket service industry is changing as customers are more and more influenced by improvements in other industries, Belron Canada said in a press release late last year, pointing to new technology, mobility, expectations of ease of service, new generations of drivers, increased complexity of vehicles, lower prices, personalized approaches and speed of service. “Remaining in tune with consumer needs is key for both companies,” the release said.

Belron Canada and Speedy Collision will continue to operate in their current physical locations under their respective banners.

“This acquisition will allow our business partners to gain efficiency in having one point of contact for both their glass and collision repair needs,” said Ralph Hosker, president of Belron Canada. “This will facilitate a better understanding of their changing business needs, their claims challenges and how we can keep improving our service offering together. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues in the Belron family.”
